I found myself needing a firewood tote to last for more than a few heating seasons, so I started a line of them that will last a few decades.
This Barn Style Firewood Tote is made from rough sawn Willow. Willow was selected to keep the weight of the tote down considering it's function being to lug around heavy firewood. The slats are 3/8 thick and the board and the bottom is a full inch in order to take the beating of firewood being plunked down inside of it on the regular. The galvanized box nails are "clenched" on the inside of the tote to create a snag-free interior surface and clamp the boards permanently in place with each other. Clench nailing is a technique used in barn door construction, hence the name of this product line.
